PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Prior to her career in development and interior design, Kim founded and managed B&A Marketing, which offered a full range of marketing, brand strategy, and management consulting services. The firm’s clients were primarily from the healthcare, high-tech, consumer products, financial services and home building industries. Clients included Acer Computers, Baxter Healthcare, Beckman Coulter, Behr Paints, Daimler Benz, Gateway Computers, OEC Medical Systems, Toshiba Medical Systems, Toshiba Computers, Taylor Woodrow Homes, William Lyon Homes, and Warmington Homes. Her agency won over 30 major awards for the campaigns it created.
In 1998, Ms. Bauer joined forces with Frank Eder as a principal investor with a focus on providing marketing and branding services for various development projects of Newport Coast Capital Management. The successful partnership continues today under the umbrella of ARTES Design Build with an exclusive focus on the luxury home market.
As a creative visionary, experienced entrepreneur, principle investor, and business strategist, Ms. Bauer has a unique ability to pin-point consumer mindset, then shape finished environments and real estate developments that push the limits of market pricing. She is highly respected for her ability to build and manage strong teams of specialists who make this happen.
Ms. Bauer received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design at the University of Illinois and attended the Owner’s and President’s Management Program at the Harvard Business School. In addition, she was a founding member of the Orange County Chapter of the Young Entrepreneur’s Organization, and the Orange County Chapter President of WRS, a women’s networking group.
RESPONSIBILITIES AT ARTES

Kim manages the Interior Design, Marketing and Branding functions at ARTES which includes a global team of Interior designers, 3D animators, interior architects and purchasing specialists to design, produce and execute single family homes in the luxury sector. Her primary love is working with clients to realize their vision. She is equally comfortable with clients, in the office, on the construction site or meeting with vendors. During design and construction, she often serves as the liaison between parties. Upon completion, she works closely with outside real estate agents and brokers to position, brand and market the homes.
